Location
Rye can be approached by two main routes
By car from London
From the M25 take the M20 exit at Ashford Junction 10. Turn off onto A2070 heading South and across two roundabouts. Take the slip road signposted A2070 Brenzett and Lydd Airport and go across the roundabout staying on the A2070 following the road to Brenzett go straight across the roundabout following the A259 to Rye.
Alternatively, from the M25 exit at Junction 5 onto the A21 southbound towards Hastings. At Flimwell turn left at the traffic lights towards Hawkhurst onto the A268 and then the A259 to Rye.
By Car from Kent and Channel Ports
Take the M20 to Junction 10. Turn off onto the A2070 heading south and across two roundabouts. Take the slip road signposted A2070 Brenzett and Lydd Airport. Go straight across the roundabout staying on the A2070 to Brenzett go straight across the roundabout following the A259 to Rye.
In Rye
Following the signs to the town centre
Go past Rye railway station (keep in the left lane) into Cinque Port Street over mini roundabout leading straight into Tower Street
At the end of Tower Street turn right under the Landgate Arch and drive up East Cliff
East Cliff becomes the High Street where the shops begin
Take the first left into East Street
Market Street is at the top of East Street and Durrant House looks directly down the street
Parking
Car parking is on the street outside the house between 5.00pm and 10.00am the next day
If street parking is not available directions will be given to a nearby car park, about 200 metres away, which costs £1 per 24 hours
By foot from the railway station
Walk straight ahead from the booking hall
Cross Cinque Port Street and go up Market Road to the High Street
At the top turn left into the High Street
Take the 2nd right into East Street
Market Street is at the top of East Street and Durrant House looks directly down this street
